Abstract

The article examines the comparison of legal frameworks for establishing greenhouse gas emission quotas and carbon unit trading in China and Russia. It demonstrates that China recognized the significance of addressing climate change earlier and implemented relevant policies. Although the current legal framework in this area has some shortcomings and requires further development, China's experiences can be utilized by Russia in shaping its own regulatory framework.
