Federalism is now called the «dominant political currency» in Asia: both Indonesia and the Philippines, Nepal and Pakistan,
Sri Lanka and India, as well as many others, take it seriously. The 21 st century is called the «century of federalization in Asia». The review article presents the latest research on the problems of federalism on the Asian continent, historical examples and features of the modern federal structure of India and Pakistan, «quasi-federalism» in China.
